What was the importance of still camera in World War I when compared to movie camera?

As far as know there are plenty of footages from WWI, but war photography developed later after introducing Leica (eg Robert Capa in WWII). Still in Wiki I read about the soldier Jack Turner who made photos during WWI. What camera did he use? What models were the movie cameras and how was possible to move them fast with the action?
