What is the standard practice for ETH seed - 12 or 24 words?

Afaik for BTC a 12-word seed is considered secure because it utilizes 128 bits of entropy, which is the same as for BTC private keys.

Is 12 words same good for ETH? What is the current standard the industry is leaning towards - 12 words for seed or 24? I have seen some ETH wallet apps allowing to use 24 words for seed, but how is the adoption so far? Is it an important improvement?
