Only 1 thread can connect

I have 2 CentOS machines networked using IPV4. One machine has a socket server, the other has a socket client that spins off 5 threads. When started, 4 of the 5 threads give the message "DB Connect Error Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.1.2' (113)"

The code must be correct, because 1 client can connect. How do I get the other 4 to connect?
