Mic not working in ubuntu when testing with webrtc

by Raady   Last Updated August 10, 2018 12:02 PM

Ubuntu 17.01, Chrome 68.0.3440.75, webRTC, sipML5

when try to test the compatibility of webrtc in my PC using test.webrtc.org, i get the following error

[ OK ] Audio track created using device=Built-in Audio Analog Stereo
[ FAILED ] No active input channels detected. Microphone is most likely muted or broken, please check if muted in the sound settings or physically on the device. Then rerun the test.

How can I debug which resource is using my mic?

When tested the same in windows I don't get any error, so my mic is working. As per link,I went to chrome --> setting --> content settings --> Microphone and checked if the website is blocked to use the mic, and there is no issue. Later I open firefox and error is not fixed even changing the browser.
