MacOS cannot be booted up after failing to updating

I have cleared up just enough space for my MacBook Pro for this update. In the middle of updating, it said there was not enough space and it failed to update. Then I found myself unable to reboot. Every time I turned it on, it automatically shut down during logging in.

I went for the recovery mode and I couldn’t do anything to make the situation better. The terminal is in root, not logged in as my account, so many files are not seen. Moreover, I deleted a handful of files in Macintosh but ZERO space is freed up as indicated.

Send help. Lots of thanks.
