Latexmk and missing pdlatex command

by Anders Damgaard   Last Updated September 11, 2019 15:23 PM - source

Following the guide here and the details provided on the latxmk installation note, I managed to set up a latexmk executable in my bin. Now hopefully this should've meant I was done and ready to compile all my latex and get beautiful little pdfs out of it.

Sadly when I ran:

latexmk -pvc -pdflatex foo.tex

I only got this in response:

sh: pdflatex: command not found

Any ideas of what might have gone wrong? Maybe a line of the latexmk file that I need to have a look at?
