I don't get it. Why the emphasis on the LGBTIQA+ users in the user base? Why not have the new rules apply to everybody?

I understand the basics, really: be nice. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. If you want to criticise a post, just don't; criticism is not nice.

(Not saying that I agree to that necessarily; personally I think it will lead to deterioration of the quality of the average question, but at least I understand what you're saying.)

But why the emphasis on LGBTIQA+ people? What about those people who are born into traditional gender roles and who not only are OK with that, but wouldn't have it any other way? Don't you think those people get frustrated when their gender is misidentified online?

So, why even mention LGBTIQA+ at all?
