how to optimize mysql configuration for better performance?

I have a docker 8.0.17 mysql instance run on 125GiB System memory AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core Processor physical server on SSD disk.

I do a data science project and communicate mysql bd via sqlalchemy python library, so I try to stay away from mysql specific details.

I wish to try to optimize mysql configuration to speed-up my queries, which are extremely slow.

What could be a universal optimal mysql configuration for my hardware?

Thank you!
