How to migrate and convert an individual Google Suite email account to Office 365 Shared Mailbox?

I'm planning to migrate my company GSuite email account to Office 365. The Office 365 will have the same domain.

My Office 365 subscription is the Business Premium, so we will have shared mailbox for our users. There is one GSuite email account that we want to make it as a shared mailbox when we migrate to Office 365.

Here's the illustration:

  • Source email account: GSuite, [email protected] (individual/user email, not group or shared mailbox)
  • Migration target: O365 Business, also will be [email protected] (shared mailbox, not individual email account)

I can find the guidance for GSuite email migration to a newly created Office 365 email account, but I cannot find a guide if the migration goes to a new Office 365 Shared Mailbox.

Migrate G Suite mailboxes to Office 365

Would it be the same way? Or is there any different steps that I need to take?

Thank you for you supports.
