Focussing on a star with wide angle 14mm lens

by Trevor Appleton   Last Updated July 31, 2020 10:18 AM - source

Has anyone discovered a better way than trial and error to focus on ny star - eg to take a pic o the Milky Way? I am using Canon 5D Mk2 14-40 mm zoom on 14 mm 12800 ISA 30s exp and I can't even see the very bright (currently July 2020) Jupiter. I have installed Magic Lantern but have no idea how to use it or whether that will help.
