FM Radio Receiver with Raspberry Pi for Filtering Content

by BBAerodyn   Last Updated August 01, 2020 11:25 AM - source

I would like to build an FM radio receiver that will scan a memory buffer of certain length (containing radio station audio data) and if it does not match a certain pattern, switches to another station. I can do this processing if I had FM radio input in my Pi's memory, but how can I build a simple FM receiver?

Note this is not an SDR (software defined radio) question, I see a lot of articles on this subject, I am not sure this is what I need; I only want to process the sound data, not the radio waves to convert them into sound data.

Any help, references, pointeres are welcome.
