esxi ipv4 partially down, ipv6 working fine

ESXi 6.0.0 managment network has started acting strange after a combination of problems in the weekend - first the datastore got filled up to 100%, 24h later a power outage.

  1. IPv6 is working fine - SSH is up, vSphere connects OK, i can ping it etc.
  2. IPv4 - IP address is attached as it should be, i can ping it; but that's about it.

I can see from tcpdump-uw output that ICMP echo gets a reply as it should, but other services don't answer. I can see in the tcpdump-uw my request, (myip.port > esxi.ssh: Flags [S], seq, win, options, length 0), but no answer is given from esxi host.

  1. Is the length 0 normal (both SSH and HTTP requests)?
  2. What logs and services should I start to check?
