I was used to download a certain file (pdf) given a shared link automatically by my own Android app and let analyze the pdf in the background.
For that, since years, works this pattern: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sometoken/xyz.pdf?dl=1
Unfortunaty this download method seems to be broken recently.
I can still download the file via Browser by hand, but the download link seems to be a temporary one now.
Is there any recent restriction known or is there a quick solution available?
Thanks in advance!
There are different sharing options provided by DropBox. One option allows the user to create a permanent link to the file, where another creates a temporary link.
If you follow up with whoever is sharing the file, they can recreate the permanent link for you using the DropBox site.
If you are the person who controls the share, you can view your links in DropBox at: https://www.dropbox.com/share/links
If you open the properties for any of the links you have there, you can choose to set an expiration date or leave expiration off.
