Can Transaction Logs be deleted by a DBA to hide what happened from managers?

I am one of your fans and really appreciate your posting those informative articles that benefit all of us. I am a DW and BI Developer and have a question: can a DBA with bad intention delete specific transactions logs after deleting some records right after insertion from staging table to destination DW or change data types between two tables for which data types are exactly the same, which causes conversion error to fail insertion to destination table, or change the ETL stored procedure quickly and put it back to normal? What do you suggest preventing from this happening? Thank you. Regards,

Frank P.
